We have an excellent opportunity for a Corporate Development Director - New Business . The selected candidate will have the opportunity to lead a new fundraising initiative for the American Heart Association in the Montgomery County area. Local candidates from Spring, Conroe, The Woodlands, Willis, Magnolia, or Montgomery County are preferred.

This leader will be a part of a team, which will build out new exciting market-wide opportunities with a fundraising goal of $750,000, through corporate sponsorship and individual giving in the territory.

Job Duties Include:

  • Drive new business development through sponsorship and individual giving

  • Recruit and manage Corporate Chair and leadership committee

  • Developing relationships with volunteers, sponsors & key corporate & community leaders to successfully drive participation

  • Monitoring fundraising trends and implementing proven strategies to maximize income

  • Ensuring successful collaboration and implementation of national strategies

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in fundraising, outside sales or in a non-profit organization in a similar capacity. With an emphasis on new business development

  • Organization, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are a must

  • Candidates must be results driven with the ability to multi task

  • Willing and able to travel locally driving your car (mileage reimbursement) within the assigned territory approximately 75% of the time

  • Ability to lift at least 20 lbs. from the ground to waist level with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Intermediate knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office used for word processing, email, presentations, and spreadsheets

  • Must be at least 18 years old
