We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Development Director to lead the Cincinnati Go Red For Women campaign. The Senior Director is a player/coach responsible for ensuring goals are achieved in revenue generation and volunteer leadership engagement for the campaign. This is an ideal position for a business development professional who thrives in a partner-focused and results-oriented environment and a collaborative team that embraces personal and shared ownership for desired results.
To help you be successful you will have access to our award-winning learning platform the Heart U as well as various other training and support mechanisms locally and through our National Center.
Due to the current pandemic, daily travel is minimal and voluntary to ensure the health and safety of staff. There is no overnight travel currently. In the future, this position may resume to extensive daily travel and minimal overnight travel. All staff are currently working from home. In the future, this position will resume to being based in the local office.
Prospect and secure local corporate sponsorships, individual donations, and auction items.
Identify, recruit and manage executive volunteer leadership including implementing a year-round cultivation plan.
Guide, align, engage and support the success of direct reports in achieving goals.
Develop profiles on the top businesses within the Cincinnati market with a documented plan to secure their involvement.
Ensure the execution of event logistics (digital and in-person) based on national best practices.
Work closely with internal partners to manage and execute comprehensive communications plans and sponsorship activations.
3+ years experience in fundraising or outside sales or in a non-profit organization in a similar capacity.
1+ years experience directly managing staff.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Ability to thrive in a results-driven and collaborative environment with highly effective organization, multi-tasking, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to recruit, train, and manage high level volunteers to accomplish established goals.
Skill in making oral presentations to large and small audiences (online and in person) and ability to write clear and concise narratives.
Ability to do daily travel up to 75%.
Must have at least basic knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
