Responsibilities

The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Manager, CRM Systems in our National Center office located in Dallas, Texas .

In this role, you will be responsible for management of the teams and technology that enable AHA’s CRM platforms used to meet AHA’s missional objectives. This includes AHA’s new Salesforce NPSP Sales CRM application with the Marketing Cloud Connector together with our legacy MS Dynamics (MSD) system. S/he contributes to the long-term vision through implementation of business objectives for digital marketing automation and customer relationship management in strong, forward-thinking partnerships with AHA business units and other Business Technology Teams that support and interface with AHA Customer Success Platform for marketing automation and constituent relationship management.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Attracts, develops, coaches, and supervises team staff. Manages activities with complete integrity and in accordance with AHA policies, systems, practices, and programs.

  • Work with business partners to define the requirements and needs for the SF and MSD platforms. Oversees development, configuration, management, support and usage of assigned application systems for AHA business units to meet ongoing technology needs in alignment with AHA technology architectural approaches.

  • Catalyst for conversations and trust between business and technology teams to find innovative solutions that exceed expectations.

  • Leads the team in problem solving and system design sessions to address business needs and projects and when needed based on changing needs, addresses the design and architecture to ensure successful completion of the projects within the BT operational framework for the platforms. Works in partnership with Customer Success Platform technical stakeholders and architectural approaches.

  • Leads project scope development with project managers. Communicates project status and time estimates for remaining work on a regular basis to appropriate staff. Prepares project status reports and conducts status meetings, as needed, with the product sponsor(s), business expert(s), user design team and senior management.

  • Manages associated 3rd party vendor relationships, including ongoing support, contractual and cost reviews as well as contracting resources.

  • Participates in Business Technology planning and intake process providing resource allocation information, high-level project estimates and technical guidance to all departments and levels within the organization. Participates in annual budgeting process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in application systems management, configuration or programming, with at least three year’s successful management of complex Salesforce Sales CRM platform. 

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience overseeing technology provided through internal platform or Service as a Software (SaaS) vendors.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the following:

  • Strategic planning, including the ability to focus on overall strategic goals of the Association and dependencies on the assigned application system.

  • Managing technical and project management roles.

  • Comprehensive technical skills with Salesforce CRM and working knowledge of MSD.

  • Breaking intricate problems down into simple elements and to solve them logically.

  • Ability to communicate, both verbally and on paper, tailoring the form and method of communications to the needs and perceptions of the recipients.

  • Ability to embrace and drive change, as well as remove barriers to change or accelerate the pace of change.

  • Ability to attract, develop and coach staff.

  • Strong time management skills with demonstrated experience in managing diverse systems.

  • Must be able to travel overnight approx. 5% of the time.

  • Knowledge of vendor management best practices

  • Experience with Salesforce Non-Profit Success Pack model
