The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a National Executive Lead, Well-Being Program . This position can be remote based within the U.S.

This is a full time, benefits eligible grant funded positio n. Current funding is through approx. June 2025.

Responsibilities

This role is responsible for leadership in the strategic planning and execution of Association’s Well-Being Programs. Devise and implement a Well-Being strategy ecosystem that includes an enterprise-wide strategy. Responsible for ensuring the development and implementation of a comprehensive strategic plan and for delivering measurable increases in Association’s impact with the Well-Being channels. Responsible for designing and applying metrics to demonstrate success as measured by health impact, awareness, engagement, recruitment and retention as appropriate. Also, responsible for owning and integrating a collaborative matrix team that functions among departments and across the enterprise to meet program objectives, as well as organization goals.

  • Develops and implements organization-wide strategic plan and goals for Well-Being Programs that insights and behaviors of the Association’s target audiences. Oversees research and trend analysis to identify and apply real-time market data. Develops, designs and tracks performance metrics for critical program operational plans to measure achievement and success.

  • Convenes cross-Association working groups to plan, review progress, identify issues and ensure coordinated work to accomplish strategic program goals. Guides and directs a matrix team in plan execution to assure integrated and cohesive results.

  • Acts as key point of contact for national partners and represents the organization externally on issues related to the assigned program audience at the national level.

  • Provides senior leadership with recommendations for resource/revenue development and project priorities. Facilitates projects with Development (National Corporate Relations, Field Corporate Relations and Mission Advancement) to secure resources to execute program strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Public Health, Marketing/Communications, Digital Marketing, Healthcare Professions serving community and public health, or related area

  • Twelve (12) years of the following experience:

  • Experience developing business models and operational plans

  • Experience managing subject matter experts and operations managers

  • Experience in program development, planning and management

  • Experience in Collegiate-Centered Programs and Public Health

Preferred:

  • Masters in Public Health or Masters in Business Administration

Compensation & Benefits

Expected pay range will be $140,000 to $155,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
