The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Staff Accountant in our National Center office located in Dallas, Texas .
In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of duties, including daily operations, such as invoicing and journal entries, month and year end closing, audit and reconciliations for our Mission Aligned Business domestic programs.
Responsible for uploading of sales orders and credits monthly, generating invoices and answering questions from customers about payments and invoice issues.
Create statements based upon Accounts Receivable (A/R) invoiced sales. Apply cash payments to invoices on time to ensure AR accounts stay current.
Collect and compile information for sales database monthly to help with sales reporting and analysis.
Assist in preparation of month-end and year-end analysis and entries as required to accurately reflect our business units’ financial position and performance per General Accepted Accounting Principles.
Prepare monthly reconciliation for balance sheet accounts.
Participate in documenting and implementing accounting process and procedures, as directed.
Perform any accounting related tasks and projects as assigned by supervisor.
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field of study.
Minimum two years of accounting experience in a related field.
Intermediate - Advanced Microsoft Excel skill (pivot tables, v-lookups).
Prior experience with invoicing and/or A/R management.
Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
Detail and deadline oriented.

Member of a Project Management team to achieve system enhancements.
Experience in Financial Analysis.
