American Heart Association Treasury Analyst/Treasury Specialist in Dallas, Texas

Due to the current pandemic, daily travel is minimal and voluntary to ensure the health and safety of staff. There is no overnight travel currently. In the future, this position may resume daily and/or overnight travel. All AHA offices are closed and staff are currently working from home. Offices will be reopening in October 2021; this position will resume to being based in the local office.


The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Treasury Analyst/Treasury Specialist based out of our National Center office located in Dallas, TX!

This individual will be responsible for: daily cash management operations, monitoring of bank and short-term investment accounts, accounting and reporting of cash and short-term activities, fee tracking and review, cash projections, providing customer service to internal and external customers on banking and cash matters.

  • Monitor activity in all bank and short-term investment accounts

  • Perform all daily cash activities, including exceptions, cash reporting, and GL recording

  • Research and resolve banking issues for internal and external customers

  • Manage and serve as administrator on banking platforms

  • Assist field with facilitating stock gifts and track stock gift activity

  • Cash concentration activities

  • Maintain cash activity spreadsheets

  • Review and track bank account analysis fees

  • Assist with treasury projects

  • Maintain treasury procedures and bank account documentation


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Two (2) – Five (5) years of experience

  • Treasury and/or cash management experience

  • Banking platform use and/or administration

  • Excel skills (intermediate)

  • Knowledge of ACH, wires, and internal controls

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to plan projects and meet deadlines

  • Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of AHA staff

  • Proficient with oral and written communication

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with short-term investments

  • ERP systems (JDE a plus)

  • Non-profit accounting

  • Insurance programs – certificates of insurance

  • International banking

  • CTP preferred
