Responsibilities

The Health Strategies Coordinator is responsible for advancing the American Heart Association's mission through providing administrative, logistical and clerical support to the Community Impact team as well as other Health Strategies teammembers (such as Advocacy and Communications) to achieve overall division and affiliate goals. This includes providing direct data management, administrative and logistics support and project coordination to internal and external partners and involves signficant organization and planning, attention to detail, timeline management and effective communication.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of logistics for community events and programs.

  • Assist in making event materials/files, order all collateral and print materials, as it relates to the Community Impact programs

  • Update Dynamics, SharePoint and all things related to Gold Standard Board, Top 25 Companies, and other Health Strategies programs/events

  • Update Community Commons, SharePoint and all things related to the Community Plan

  • Assist in securing in-kind donations if needed for any Community Impact programs

  • Lead recruitment efforts for interns for the division. Assist Department supervisors in the process of hiring, on-boarding, and terminating their interns, provide intern orientations and training.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated track record in project management with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet specified timelines.

  • Demonstrated administrative expertise with complex clerical responsibilities and data management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Effective interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to develop collaborative working relationships internally and externally.

  • Experience providing admnistrative and project support to multiple team members in a highly dynamic environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs based on project requirements and organizational needs and proactively contribute ideas for maximum effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Skilled in efectively manage relationships with the ability to gain trust and demonstrate influence without authority.

  • Adaptability with a strong initiative to continuously learn and improve.
