To continue the fight against the Number 1 and Number 5 causes of death in the world, we need dedicated staff who can engage and empower our past, present and future volunteers and donors to become passionate about our important mission and fundraising strategies.
We are looking to fill a Regional Fundraising Director for the Northshore, LA area. Primary purpose will be to cultivate and solicit corporate sponsorships and individualdonations for two of our annual events (Heart Walk and Go Red for Women Luncheon. Territory will cover the Northshore area.
Some of your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
Setting and achieving assigned revenue goals by developing and maintaining relationships with corporate and community partners, high-level decision-makers, and community leaders, including monthly and quarterly sponsorship dollar pipeline goals.
Recruiting, orientation, and managing executive volunteer leadership chairs and committees based on nationally established methodologies.
Planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating assigned fundraising event(s) according to standard methodologies and event timeline.
Maintaining consistent communication with all levels of volunteers to drive fundraising efforts.
Driving new business development by soliciting sponsorships, individual gifts, and generating participant income through developing year-round business and cultivation plans.
Driving peer-to-peer fundraising by supporting corporate partners and team leaders effectively and keeping them on track to reach goals.
Collaborating with other staff and volunteers as needed to promote and support local initiatives and to optimize event market strategy.
Maintaining an ongoing pipeline of potential sponsors, donors, and volunteer leadership.
Adhering to Best Practices and event timelines.
Note: this is a work-out-of-your home position.
In this role, you will report to the Vice President, Walk. Daily travel within the market is required.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
At least three years of work experience in fundraising or sales
Knowledge and skills in fundraising principles, practices and techniques, notably peer-to-peer fundraising with the ability to close face to face sales and sponsorships
Ability and experience recruiting, training, and cultivating top-level donors and volunteers
Highly effective organizational, planning and follow-up skills, along with time management, leadership, and motivation
Excellent listening skills, including verbal and non-verbal communication, active listening, negotiating, problem-solving and decision-making
Demonstrated professional and mature interaction with other staff and leadership volunteers, sponsors, donors and others to engage them toward the achievement of event goals.
Strong computer skills, proficient with MS Office suite.
Ability to work outside of standard hours which may involve some evenings and/or weekends
Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout assigned geographical territory
