The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for an Email Marketing Manager .

The Manager develops marketing, merchandising and creative strategies and affiliated programs to promote the organization's mission, products and services via digital channels to increase exposure to and business from the target audience. Builds, deploys, and optimizes email marketing campaigns and automated programs mainly focused on customer acquisition and retention. Manages the email marketing calendar including tasks and deadlines, and ensures tasks are completed on-time by internal parties. Provides email marketing support to internal departments. Creates and maintains accurate performance reports and communicates results and actionable insights to the team. Assists with email marketing strategies to drive leads, conversions, and increased lifetime value. Develops concepts in line with the strategic goals in collaboration with team member(s.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for designing and deploying email marketing campaigns that nurture prospects, creative asset management, segmentation and lead scoring, and scheduling email campaigns. Prioritizes e-mail marketing campaigns during the intake process.

  • Gathers assets for creation of email and other digital campaigns, such as design specifications, images, html content, and copy. Routes key assets for review and approval by stakeholders. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including creative/copy, technology, product, and other departments to ensure consistency of marketing messages and user experience across all digital and offline channels.

  • Delivers campaign performance reports, categorizes results and insights, and recommends action or revisions to strategy. Accesses data and evaluations from a variety of internal and external sources.

  • Analyze consumer touch-points and maximize opportunities for engagement. Monitor key KPI’s and collaborate with analysts on CRM analysis.

  • Drive test-and-learn optimizations; provide insights and recommendations through analysis on as-appropriate basis; use analytics and qualitative and quantitative insights to identify, size and prioritize opportunities.

  • Manage outside partners such as email platform provider and internal/external agencies on day-to-day campaign design.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in CRM, email & direct marketing roles

  • Hands on experience with email marketing to a consumer base (at scale)

  • Knowledge of developing trigger-based lifecycle programs

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to be self-directed and work independently, and demonstrated ability overcoming obstacles to deliver on deadline

  • Solid analytical aptitude - able to evaluate customer journey and email metrics resulting in creative solutions & program optimization in line with business objectives

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong background in the digital asset production process

  • Preferred experience with Salesforce, HTML/CSS and customer database management
