American Heart Association Development Coordinator in Tucson, Arizona

The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Development Coordinator within our Southern Arizona Division . The ideal candidate must have the ability to work effectively from the Tucson office as well as remotely from home and in the field as needed. The ability to travel throughout the market is required.

Under general supervision, the Development Coordinator is responsible for advancing the American Heart Association’s mission through the planning, coordination and implementation of fundraising campaign(s), events, and operations for assigned markets to achieve overall team and region goals. This includes providing direct data management, administrative and logistics support to internal and external partners and involves significant organization and planning, attention to detail, timeline management and facilitating effective communication across team members.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and implements the logistics and administration of all phases of assigned campaigns including the recruitment and management of volunteers, vendors, and participants; detailed project management; customer service; administrative and logistics coordination; data management; website and email campaigns.

  • Provides administrative support to markets/offices/departments for ongoing and ad-hoc projects including data entry, reporting, processing of invoices, day-of-event support, issue resolution and other duties as needed for efficient, effective operations.

  • Manages customer, campaign and financial information utilizing American Heart Assoication systems accurately, timely and completely in accordance with established guidelines. Protects the security of donor and financial information.

  • Manages the daily operations of assigned division(s) in support of achieving the goals and objectives of the division(s.

  • Processes donations accurately and timely in accordance with established requirements and standards.

  • As needed, creates correspondence and event collateral with precise attention to detail.

  • Proactively ensures timely communication with internal and external partners and customers, supporting collaboration in account management and activities to achieve shared goals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience with:

  • Demonstrated track record in project management with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet specified timelines.

  • Demonstrated administrative expertise with complex clerical responsibilities and data management.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Effective interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to develop collaborative working relationships internally and externally.

  • Ability to organize, plan and execute corporate events.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Here are some of the preferred skills we are looking for:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.

  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, train and manage volunteers with success in delegating and accomplishing goals through empowering volunteers.

  • Knowledge of corporate and community networks.

  • Knowledge of American Heart Association’s mission and programs.
